Polymedia won the InAVation Awards 2020 for the set of installations at the Engineering and Technology School #777

The project won the awards in the education category. The winners were announced on February 11th, 2020 at the awards ceremony that took place in Beurs van Berlage, Amsterdam.

Within the scope of the project, Polymedia created an innovative educational environment for the Engineering and Technology School #777 in Saint Petersburg that now features a series of nontypical, even for the most modern schools, multimedia solutions.

An astronomy classroom

One of the key installations of the project is the astronomy classroom that features a school planetarium, including a dome of non-standard construction with a blended image from multiple projectors.

A biology classroom

A biology classroom features unique technology for the demonstration of study materials in the form of holographic models. The holographic models show biological processes and their dynamics, which are difficult and at times impossible to observe in real life.

The project also includes five mathematics classrooms, each with a large-scale interactive space for the collaborative work of students. ScriptoriUM systems help to conduct training, seminars, create mental maps and projects on paper, on a PC or on a common interactive surface.

Entrance groups

Entrance groups for senior and primary school students and a lobby are equipped with several creative multi-screen digital signage installations and a navigation system. The overall idea for the entrance group multimedia installations was to create a positive mood for students and staff, promote openness and active participation in the school's life.

Assembly hall

The big assembly hall that can sit up to 450 people features an immersive AV installation based on a system of LED screens and a panoramic projection system. The hall installation includes comprehensive sound and stage lighting systems to complete the immersive experience.

The project also features an in-house video production studio and a multimedia library.

All the implemented solutions are deeply integrated into the education process and complement the overall non-standard design of various rooms and zones of the school.

The key approach in Polymedia solutions was that every installation is also a tool that is meant to drive interest of the students to scientific and technical creativity, independent design and development of content. Overall, the implemented solutions contribute to forming comprehensively developed individuals who strive to further advance their knowledge and know how to use modern technologies to fulfill their full potential in the modern world.
