Polymedia equipped a branch of the State Historical Museum

In September 2020 the main national history museum - the State Historical Museum with its primary location on the Red Square in the heart of Moscow - opened the first branch in Tula. The opening commemorates the celebration of the 500 years of Tula’s Kremlin.

Polymedia was chosen as a partner of the museum whose main task was to develop an AV strategy and implement the solution. Within the scope of the project, the branch was equipped with interactive systems. The main exhibition zone features a video wall constructed from 9 LCD panels, as well as 2 projectors and 2 interactive panels.

The visitors can get information about the current exhibition and navigation tips with the help of 4 LCD panels and an interactive kiosk installed in the reception area. High-capacity media players serve as signal sources and help control and distribute content from any input. The commutation system is based on the equipment from Extron. The interactive class (a special zone for kids) features an interactive educational system with a mobile rack.

The modern exhibition space combines visual technologies and audio accompaniment. To make the exhibition tours more engaging, the museum also features innovative acoustic systems and microphones.

The courtyard includes an installation of a miniature Red Square in Moscow, with models of the State Historical Museum and Saint Basil’s Cathedral. The miniatures are made from a transparent material and embellished with creative lighting.

The Tula branch of the State Historical Museum is accessible and equipped for people with disabilities.
