Digital Command Hub: Turnkey Situation Center for Uzbekhydroenergo

Polymedia has successfully completed a project to design and equip a Situation Center for Uzbekhydroenergo JSC, the national operator overseeing hydroelectric power generation across Uzbekistan.

As part of its mission, Uzbekhydroenergo is responsible for implementing a unified technical policy for HPPs (hydroelectric power plants), ensuring the safe and efficient operation of hydraulic structures, and providing centralized technological management of hydropower facilities across the country.

As part of its mission, Uzbekhydroenergo is responsible for implementing a unified technical policy for HPPs (hydroelectric power plants), ensuring the safe and efficient operation of hydraulic structures, and providing centralized technological management of hydropower facilities across the country.

Project Scope and Objectives

Polymedia was tasked with delivering a turnkey solution — from initial concept development, 3D visualization, and space planning to full installation, configuration, and post-warranty support.
The Situation Center was designed to address several key operational and analytical needs:
  • Collection and initial processing of source data for internal analytics;
  • Ensuring the safe operation of reservoirs;
  • Enhancing accuracy in forecasting and planning;
  • Generating additional revenue through improved planning precision;
  • Real-time monitoring of facility conditions and performance;
  • Oversight of construction activities;
  • Improving the quality, accuracy, reliability, and consistency of operational data.

Delivered Solutions
Based on client requirements and a detailed pre-project survey, Polymedia equipped the Situation Center and Decision-Making Room at Uzbekhydroenergo’s headquarters in Tashkent.

Situation Center

The main visual display features a large-format LED video wall made of custom PolyLED cabinets with aluminum frames, measuring 9.6 x 2.025 meters and offering a 1.25 mm pixel pitch. The total resolution is 7680 x 1620 pixels.

Content is managed via the Pollywall Pro+ hardware-software platform, which allows for dynamic layout customization and scenario-based control.

The video conferencing system includes:

  • Ceiling-mounted microphones;
  • Professional-grade audio playback and processing by Biamp;
  • A motorized PTZ camera from RGBLink for automated speaker tracking.

Subsystems are controlled through a Biamp control system with a touchscreen interface.

Operator workstations are equipped with modern Lenovo high-performance PCs for data access and monitoring.

Decision-Making Room

Designed for meetings and VCS (video conferencing sessions), this space features:

  • A 100” interactive panel by eSurf;
  • A Televic conference system for speech reinforcement;
  • A Biamp audio system and Biamp Tesira audio processor for acoustic optimization;
  • Three RGBLink cameras to provide individual participant coverage;
  • A Lumens document camera, as requested by the client, for sharing large-format physical documents during meetings.

Each participant is provided with a Lenovo Yoga convertible laptop. In addition to working with documents and multimedia, the laptops can also display real-time content from the Situation Center.
Outcomes and Benefits
Following project completion, Uzbekhydroenergo reported significant improvements in operational efficiency and analytical capabilities, including:

  • Reduced time required for collecting and processing operational data;
  • Increased number of data systems used in report generation;
  • Shortened reporting cycles and faster data-driven decision-making;
  • Expanded reporting channels and improved data usability;
  • Enhanced data quality, consistency, and accessibility for internal users;
  • Ability to conduct secure and efficient online meetings, negotiations, and coordination sessions.
