Visualization Center for SOCAR

State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) is a national oil and gas company headquartered in the country's capital Baku. The center is an operations hub for production monitoring, rapid response and crisis management. It is also used by the customer team to hold executive meetings, practice emergency scenarios and drills, host various conferences.

The multipurpose visualization center can work as a single space but is also divided into zones to address the requirements and different tasks of the customer. At the center of the space is a large boardroom zone that serves as the main space for high-level executive meetings, reception of large delegate groups, large meetings with international partners. The space can be used to conduct meetings on-site or in a hybrid format when some participants connect remotely and features:

5x2 videowall built with ten Mitsubishi 70HE120 projection cubes;
CRESTRON Matrix switcher;
Polywall PRO videowall control software bundled with Datapath controller with 12 input and output ports;

Two 75" FLIPBOX interactive panels;
Wolfvision document camera;
6 high end workstations for staff

The boardroom zone also includes delegates' workplaces equipped with personal motorized displays, and a SHURE MXC640 conferencing system branded specially for SOCAR. Polymedia Azerbaijan team set up a special COVID-19 mode for the room when the boardroom table equipment can be adjusted to maintain correct social distancing requirements.

The Audio system is represented by Yamaha VXL1B-8 line array speakers driven by an Extron XPA2004 amplifier and is integrated with the Polycom videoconferencing system.

The visualization center helps to improve efficiency of the work of the customer, monitor various operations and conduct international-level meetings. Presently, the customer successfully uses the visualization center to solve various tasks, including:

holding executive meetings both on-site and in hybrid mode;
monitoring production activities on multiple manufacturing facilities (production of diesel fuel and monitoring of all parameters involved in the process);

monitoring supply and transportation of gas to consumers and partners;
observing and monitoring the process of oil exploration.
